Our Community Halls

Barry Town Council have two community halls available to hire in Barry; Cemetery Approach Community Centre & Pioneer Hall.

Both halls are located near the town centre, with public transport links and can host activities and events such as fitness classes, workshops, parties and functions.

The centres are open 7 days a week, excluding bank holidays and important annual holiday dates.

Pioneer Hall

Capacity: 80 people
Pricing: £10.00-£20.00 per hour

Looking for somewhere to host a yoga class or a birthday party? Then look no further.

Pioneer Hall is a large hall that would work well for fitness classes, workshops, parent and baby sessions, foodbanks and more.

Pioneer Hall is also available for Children’s Parties over the weekend. We offer a Party Package which includes 3 hours hall hire and Soft Play . The hall will be set up ready for your arrival, when you arrive the tables and chairs will be arranged for you. All you have to do is arrange your own catering and decorations. Once you have set up you can relax and watch the Children have fun.

In our kitchen you will have access to a fridge, microwave and hot water urn. All we ask is that once you have finished, please ensure that all rubbish is disposed of using the refuse bags in the kitchen area and leave the hall the way you found it.

Please note that bouncy castles are NOT permitted in the Hall.

Cemetery Approach Community Centre

Location: 23 St Teilo Ave, Barry, CF62 8BQ

The Centre is a bright, modern building for the community of Barry. It is an integral part of the community gardens scheme and sits beautifully within the open space. The building is situated opposite Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery in Cemetery Approach Gardens.

It is a lovely, up to date space with facilities that include a hot water urn in the kitchen area together with a fridge and cooker. There are baby-changing facilities, accessible toilets, integrated sound system with Wi-Fi throughout the centre, projector and screen, tables and chairs to suit most functions.

The centre was designed to be used for education purposes, training, seminars and community groups and also private hire, such as Wakes following funerals and birthday parties or celebrations.
